PEACH Congressional Action Program

The 2023 PEACH Congressional Action Program in Washington D.C. will take place at a critical time for California’s community safety net hospitals. A new Congress will have just been sworn in, very possibly bringing with it a new balance of power and members of Congress will be setting their legislative priorities for the next two years.

Your presence at that time will have the potential to influence those priorities: it will be vital for you to tell your hospitals’ stories and to illustrate how the current financial environment for community safety net hospitals directly affects access to health care for individuals in your communities.

With catastrophic cuts to Medicaid DSH scheduled to begin in 2024, your members of Congress need to hear from you how important it is for them to act to protect the communities they represent.
